How to get to Brno

Although Brno has its own airport called Brno-Tuřany, with regular Ryanair flights to London, Berlin and Milan, most visitors to the city fly to Prague, Vienna or Bratislava and travel the rest of the way by bus or train.

HOW TO GET FROM PRAGUE TO BRNO

Bus
If you fly to Vaclav Havel Airport in Prague, RegioJet coach lines will get you to Brno comfortably. The buses stop directly in front of Terminal 1 (under the airbridge to Terminal 2) and take you to the central bus station called Florenc, where you need to transfer. In total, the journey to Brno should not take more than 4 hours including waiting time at Florenc. Buses leave from the airport every hour. Tickets cost approx. 10 EUR each way and can be bought either via their website or in the Arrival Hall of Terminal 2. We recommend buying tickets in advance as the buses may be fully booked.
Train
If you wish to go by train, Prague Airport is connected to the Prague Main Railway Station by the Airport Express (AE) shuttle bus service. The journey takes 45 minutes and the bus drops you off directly in front of the main railway station. You can board this bus at the bus stop in front of Terminal 1. This service is provided by Czech Railways. For more information and tickets, please check the webpage. There you can also search for your connection to Brno. Trains leave twice an hour. The journey by Eurocity or Railjet takes 2 hours and 30 minutes according to schedule.

HOW TO GET FROM VIENNA TO BRNO

You can reach Brno from Vienna International Airport by bus or by train. Each option costs appx. 15 EUR each way (if bought in advance).

Bus
If you wish to go by train, take ÖBB Railjet train to Vienna central station (Wien Hauptbahnhof). The train leaves each 30 minutes and the travel time is 15 minutes. Avoid CAT and S-Bahn trains that go to Wien-Mitte station. Tickets are available at www.oebb.at, at the ÖBB ticket counter at the airport or at ÖBB ticket machines. You will need to change at Wien Hauptbahnhof and board a Railjet train to Brno, which leaves every 2 hours. Both ÖBB and Czech Railways sell tickets for the whole trip. Train
As for the bus connection, there is a bus operated by FlixBus going directly from Vienna Airport to Brno in 2 hours and 30 minutes. The FlixBus bus stop is situated in the bus terminal at the airport and leaves 3-4 times per day. Turn right after the exit from the new arrival hall. We recommend finding your connection and buying the tickets in advance here.

HOW TO GET FROM BRATISLAVA TO BRNO

If you fly to Bratislava Airport you can reach Brno by bus or by train. Each option cost appx. 10 EUR each way (if bought in advance).

Bus
If you wish to go by train, take the bus line no. 61 in direction to Bratislava Main Station. Travel time is around 25 minutes. Then take a RegioJet train (it leaves 3 times a day) or EC train of the Railway Company Slovakia which leaves every 2 hours. Travel time from Bratislava to Brno is around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Tickets are available on RegioJet or Railway Company Slovakia websites.
Train
For travelling by bus is the best way taking the bus line no. 61 in direction to Bajkalská and change to the bus line 205 in direction to the Bus Main Station. From there take a RegioJet bus to Brno. The Bus leaves 2-3 times a day and tickets are available on here. Time travel is around 1 hour and 45 minutes.

HOW TO GET FROM BRNO MAIN STATION TO THE VENUE

From the Main Station (which is the main hub in Brno located next to trains and buses) you can continue 6 minutes by tram No. 1 in the direction of Bystrc-Ečerova and get off at Mendlovo náměstí (Mendel Square). From there you can either walk or continue one stop by bus No. 84 to Křížkovského stop.
